New Boat Buyer Digital Resource Pack

$59.00

When we went through the purchase-by-owner process in 2021 with our 2013 Lagoon 450. These are all the things I either had to figure out or create on my own because I couldn’t find clarity online. The process was soooo overwhelming! So we created the “New Boat Buyer Digital Resource Pack” that we wish WE had when we were new to the process. The things we wished we had known. Trust me…you can’t pay me enough for this info! Ha!

Even if you are planning to use a broker there is very useful information in here for you.

We debated making this free. But then we realized we’ve shed the tears (lots of them), the blood (not joking), and the sweat (gallons), to gain this experience and take the time to compile for you.

So what’s included?

  1. Purchase by Owner Step by Step Process: This is the bread and butter. It answers “how in the world do I go about buying a boat by owner.” It includes resources we used to FIND our boat, the marine documentation company we used to handle legal documents, what to look for, questions to ask, tips to negotiate, and more.

  2. Yacht Purchase Agreement: Since I found our boat off market…the seller wasn’t prepared with any of this. So I did the research and created the purchase agreement. (*I’m not an attorney. Have yours read it over to confirm legality for you).

  3. Yacht Deposit Receipt: You’ll have to give the owner a deposit to hold the vessel for you while you go through the survey/purchase process.

  4. Maintenance Log & Parts Inventory Sheet: I created this document to track all maintenance and keep track of allllll the backup parts inventory I keep in stock. It’s super helpful for keeping track of all the things (and where you keep them) and the timeline for maintenance. (includes numbers doc for Mac and excel file for windows)

  5. Named Storm Plan for Insurance: When I got my first insurance policy that wanted to know what my named storm plan was. I had no clue what this meant or what they were looking for and often times insurance brokers aren’t very helpful. Use this as your guide to sound like you know what you’re talking about!

  6. Sailing Resume for Insurance: Insurance companies love to see a boat ownership and sailing resume from their perspective clients. This gives you credibility and sets you apart.

  7. Crew (guest) Info & Checklist: You’re going to have guests join you. It’s so much fun to give your friends and family the experience of boat life. But it’s A LOT of work. They’re coming to vacation on your floating home. This document helps to spell out all the info they need and set very important expectations early. It will save you from some awkward conversations as it outlines the ground rules. Copy/Paste it in your own document to make it your own! (or contact us for the editable file)

**Bonus: included is our 2023 GPS tracks all the way through the Carribean! It is invaluable to have tracks in and out of all the places along the way.

After purchase you’ll be sent a download link! After you download it and work through the material. If you have any questions or something is unclear please feel free to reach out!
